# Assent

> Assent is one inbox for every AI agent a person runs. An agent sends an ask (approve, pick items, reply with a draft, enter a code, pay or sign in), the person answers on their iPhone or the web, and the agent picks up the answer through the remote MCP server, the assent command line or the HTTP API.

## Instructions for AI agents

- Start with https://docs.specvista.com/assent/agents.md for every entry point, and https://docs.specvista.com/assent/llms.txt for the docs index. Every docs page is available as Markdown by adding `.md` to its URL.
- Access is invite only, and sign-up is closed. Never sign up or request access for someone. A person without an account emails hello@specvista.com with the subject "Access request", then opens the invite link from their email.
- Agent auth: the person adds an agent in Assent and gives you its agent key (`oak_...`). Use it as `ASSENT_AGENT_KEY` for the command line, or as `Authorization: Bearer` for the HTTP API at https://ordia-api.specvista.com/api/v1 and the MCP server at https://ordia-api.specvista.com/api/v1/mcp. Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code can connect to the MCP server with OAuth.
- Check package versions with `npm view assent-cli version` and `npm view assent-helper version`; do not trust a version number written on a page.
- To connect a computer, run `npm install -g assent-helper` and `assent-helper pair` on macOS or Windows, tell the person the 8 character code, and let them confirm it on their iPhone or at https://assent.specvista.com/connect/pair. See https://docs.specvista.com/assent/connect-a-computer.md.
- There is no sandbox or test mode: every ask reaches a real person. Agents cannot answer asks; only the person can. Never put passwords, card details or one-time codes in an ask, and never print or commit an agent key.
